Stevens Creek Striders Running Club is based in Cupertino, California. It has about 50 members residing in and around Silicon Valley. The club is a casual, fun loving group with a very diverse membership. Runners of all ages and abilities get together to train, run, and sometimes just play. Stevens Creek Striders meets on Saturday morning at 8.30am to run on the trails of Stevens Creek County Park. This group is affiliated with Inside Trail Racing (www.InsideTrail.com). It is for trail runners dedicated to training for their next race, their friends they want to drag along, and for new runners considering participating in an event or just have other people to run with. We will meet every Wednesday and on non-race weekends for longer runs.

INTRODUCTION: Our club is open to runners 18 years and older. We are a running club not a coached training group. We welcome all runners wanting to workout in a group environment with other dedicated runners. Some of our members train for 5k or 10K events, and others are training for their half or full marathon. This group is for beginning or experienced trail runners who are wanting to start trail running or get back in running shape after some time away (like me)! I have been away from the trails for awhile and am excited to get back. I was previously training long distances and just getting into ultra distance trail races when I had to take a break. I would like to start out with 60 to 90 minute run/hikes at Fort Ord and Toro Park.

Calling all Trail Runners! We love running on the dirt. Trail running is way more fun than running on the pavement, around noisy cars and unhealthy exhaust. We get to be one with nature. Hills and mountains are our friends. The trails allow less impact on the body than running on pavement and we use more muscles groups which makes us stronger.
